This mandala pattern is designed to use around 320-500m with smaller than usually used crochet hook

 It's big enough to fit from 50cm upto 60cm diameter hoop

The mandala from first 2 photos is made with 4ply 320m cotton/acrylic mandala style yarn cake in Lime and Fern
